Janna is an award winning filmmaker with 10 years experience working in Film & TV in Ireland, UK & Germany. She brings a diverse set of disciplines and influences to her work having worked in photography, theater and dance before finding her love of film. This set of skills allows her to easily move through genres and styles such as Music Videos, award winning Short Films, and promotional films for Ireland’s largest music festivals. Janna is also a multi-camera director on beloved longest-running TV series RTÉ’s Fair City and BBC’s EastEnders.
Janna has 6 short films under her belt. Her first feature and TV Show are currently in development with Screen Ireland. Janna was part of Torino Series Lab in 2024 alongside Co - Creator and writer Hiram Harrington and Producer Maggie Ryan with their project Goodnight Girl.

Torino Series Lab
Goodnight Girl, a project from writer Hiram Harrington, director Janna Kemperman, and producer Mary-Margaret Ryan, has been selected for TorinoFilmLab’s 2024 SeriesLab workshop, a development workshop for television projects.
